What You’ll Do

As an IT Analyst for John Deere in Urbandale, IA, you will provide application development and support planning, delivery and/or support of software products utilizing information technology and business practices for use by Deere's customers. In addition, you will:
Work with multiple departments, including product management and quality assurance
Participate in planning and design of complex software application products for the My John Deere website
Serve as a key team member, which may include tech lead and/or supervising suppliers
Utilize Agile software development practices
Serve as a consultant or expert and actively share knowledge across workgroups
Design and implement complex changes impacting several components with minimal direction
Primarily perform as an individual contributor, but may supervise a small work team (6 or fewer members)
What It Takes


We need an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, who thrives on solving problems and working in a global team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar discipline and/or 6 years of experience in a related field. We also require:
Develop complex software applications and web services to be sold as products to Deere customers
Design, develop, test, and integrate products of high complexity, both in terms of technology and business domain
Support, evaluate, and continuously improve product development process to improve customer satisfaction, SVA, and quality
Utilize Agile methods to implement products of medium-high complexity and medium-high risk
Engage in expanded contact with varied and multiple departments and functional operations; actively participating in strategic business relationships and/or issues
Excellent understanding of object oriented ideas
Experience in the troubleshooting, design, evaluation and documentation of highly available applications
Solid analytical skills and the desire to gain further experience in evolving technologies
A strong candidate will also have:
Experience with HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, Progressive Enhancement, and/or Responsive Design
Agile development process knowledge
Familiarity with XP Practices
Previous experience with Test Driven Development, Acceptance Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and/or Test Automation
Knowledge of Java/J2EE programming/software/server side development
Experience with REST web services, Spring, Maven, Hibernate, Oracle, IntelliJ and/or RAD/Eclipse IDE
Ability to work with complex host applications requiring high performance and scalability
Experience working with offshore development teams

Job Purpose:

  • Takes measures to help protect and maintain Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability of Company data and information systems from internal/ external threats by adopting best IT security practices in the industry.

  • Leads and implements the design of Information Security Architecture, implements / maintains IT Security policies and procedures. Administers / monitors Company's Information Security Infrastructure systems and reports any security violations and IT Security risks in order to help protect company's computing and networking environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Leads the design and implementation of the IT Security architecture and infrastructure to ensure data protection and data integrity, according to best practices and recognize information security standards.

  • Leads and supervises the Implementation of Information Security Management System (ISMS) for modest management of Company Information Security and appropriate measurement of Security level and gaps in Company against the IT Security Standards.

  • Develops and maintains the documentations of the technical procedures, standards, and guidelines for IT Security infrastructure components and products.

  • Supervises and coordinates a Computer incidents response team with members from IT sections and teams to manage computer security incidents and problems.

  • Keeps abreast of changing technology to meet the new ever increasing security threats.

  • Occasional contacts with HR to aware them about procedures, policies, and guidelines regarding IT Security.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 - 7 years experiences in the field of Technical Support of which two years are involved in IT Security.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written English.

This position provides accounting IT services support our of our Shared Service Center in Lancaster, PA.  Under the Supervision of a Financial Systems Manager, the principal duties are:




  • The development and programing of reports for accounting and operational reporting using Oracle  ERP R12 databases and tables.
  • Support of implementation initiatives included in the  Roll-out of the solution to newly acquired companies
  • Coordinate technical enhancements and issues with the global IT  department 
  • Design  Re-Engineer ,testing  and delivery of financial  Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms and
  • Workflow(RICEFW)  objects in Oracle eBusiness Suite during periodic upgrades of  Oracle software.
  • Respond to system issues and coordinate resolution with relevant teams
  • Design and Development of Financial Reporting solutions
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • At least ten years experience in a IT systems  development and reporting

  • Extensive experience in deployment and/or support of Oracle eBusiness Suite and EPM/BI Solutions

  • Expert knowledge of SQL/PLSQL and SQLDEVLOPOR or TOAD,  XML/BI Publisher, OA Framework and Workflow

  • Database design ,relational  OLTP and OLAP .

  • Technical knowledge of implementing BI solutions  and making changes to standard BI  ETL components

  • Respond to system issues and coordinate resolution with relevant teams

  • Extensive trouble shooting and communication skills

  • SQL Server development a plus

Trainee Computer Operator required for prestigious financial organisation in Harrogate/North Yorkshire. 

The main purpose of the role is to carry out the day-to-day operation of the companys Electronic Switching, Gateway and Transaction Service ensuring the highest levels of service availability and integrity.You will be operating the Company's mainframe computer hardware, application software, system software and associated peripherals, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with company agreed standards. 

Duties:

•Provide first line problem solving for issues associated with a wide range of mainframe computer facilities, communications network equipment and management diagnostic tools.
•Maintaining full knowledge of, and working within, Company processing schedules, quality standards and service level agreements.
•Ensuring all service interruptions are recorded in accordance with defined procedures and progressed to the point of service restoration as speedily as possible. 



This is a trainee role so experience isnt necessary but experience in a helpdesk/service/customer service role would be advantageous. You will a proven team player, able to work effectively and closely with others. Also be able to work weekends and nights on a shift rota that covers a 24x7x365 operation. With a proven ability to learn and follow processes but also able to identify and suggest improvements to work processes. You will have good problem solving skills and be able to deal with urgent issues in a calm but timely manner.

High School Diploma or equivalent with one year experience in programming and application development is required. Some college in computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
