This position will be responsible for managing internal IT infrastructure for H5AP – both Mumbai and Bangalore offices. Leading the IT team based in Mumbai, this position will also provide technical and functional assistance to H5 employees globally, working closely with H5 IT from the San Francisco office.

ROLE-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES

Networking & Infrastructure
  • Provide assessment, planning, implementation and support for IT infrastructure
  • Define, implement and continually enhance network security throughout the H5 AP IT network
  • Evaluate and manage ISP contracts/ negotiations/ SLAs
  • Provide remote/ offsite support for office staff
Server Management & Support
  • Manage H5AP corporate servers, firewall, VPNs and other appliances
  • Manage IT vendors/ contracts/  licenses/ SLAs, hardware procurement, software evaluations
  • Enforce and continually enhance IT security policies on H5AP Servers
  • Implement automated alerts to manage IT network health and develop proactive controls
Internal Systems & Asset Management
  • Manage systems backups, data backups, archiving and storage management
  • Plan and assist in disaster recovery and business continuity in case of disaster/ disruptions
  • Work with Customer Application Support Team to help implement internal systems, internal application deployments, server rebuilding, software installations and upgrades
  • Manage administration and maintenance of desktops/ laptops/ printers/ CCTV/ Blackberry/ other such devices
Other IT Administrative Functions
  • Manage ISO 27001:2005 certification and ensure compliance and adherence to ISO policies and suggested best practices
  • Provide IT expertise and trouble-shooting support for IT-related issues to users at all levels in the organization. Manage Incident reporting.
  • Do vulnerability /  risk assessments and audit IT functions/  assets and resolve discrepancies
Management
  • Continually strive to improve IT Security across all levels within the organization
  • Effectively communicate relevant IT-related information to the IT team and superiors
  • Manage and coach other IT team members with timely knowledge  transfer and training  
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and optimize where possible
  • Continually seek opportunities to increase internal user satisfaction and optimum utilization of resources
  • Keep abreast of technological advances and emerging industry best practices

QUALIFICATIONS
  • BE, BTech, BSc IT or relevant diploma/ certifications (MCSE/ MCSA/ …)
  • Prior work experience of 8 to 10 years
  • Must have very good knowledge of Microsoft technologies including Server Operating Systems, Virtualization, Hyper-V, VLANs, MS Exchange server administration, DPM, SCOM, SCCM, WSUS, etc.
  • Must have experience with managing a data center, firewalls, VPNs, DMZs, switches/ routers and other such appliances, structured cabling infrastructure, system performance monitoring and optimizations
  • Must have prior experience with managing Active Directory server for user authentication, policy rights implementation
  • Must have very good knowledge of anti-malware/ spam control (Microsoft Forefront Endpoint)
  • Prior experience with Sonicwall firewall, UTM and VPN desirable
  • Good communication skills, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Must be willing to provide 24x7 support, as and when needed
