Monitise are looking to recruit a Data Scientist for our London Office.
Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Responsible for the constant testing, measurement, optimization and refining of propositions through the building and training of analytically models
  • Deployment of data mining techniques to discover and identify actionable patterns in data and develop hypotheses and models.
  • Design hypothesis tests, oversee execution, and perform rigorous statistical evaluation of the results to produce actionable insights.
  • Support the key relationships with 3rd party data and analytics software partners, in concert with aligned partner functions.
  • Specification of data/analysis requirements to the product team, including translation of business needs to technical requirements and implementation
  • The successful candidate will be expected to be an active influencer within the wider Monitise community.
  • The successful candidate will have the following experience:
  • A minimum of 3-4 years in a data mining/analysis role in a consumer facing business
  • University degree (or equivalent) required. Maths, Statistics or Computer Science degree a major plus
  • Knowledge of Business Analytics
  • Mobile commerce (Finance/Retail) industry experience a major plus

Description::

The purpose of the role is to provide IT support to users within the business. This role covers a number of responsibilities that will be carried out in accordance with a rota defined by the Service Delivery Leader. 

Resolution of all IT support incidents and requests coming via the IT Help Desk. IT support provision in the UK and help to other business units outside of the UK. 

Helpdesk: 

Deal with requests and issues that come into the Help Desk including, but not limited to, the following types of support calls via phone, email and instant messaging: 

Administrative changes including active directory, user account set up and group modifications. 
Asset management of equipment including, but not limited to, mobile phones, computers and peripherals. 
Remote installation of software. 
General troubleshooting of IT hardware and software issues. 
Focus on resolution of support calls to a first time fix. 
Ownership of the issue from receipt until resolution regardless of the location. 

Central IT Support: 

Carry out IT wide duties such as: 

PC builds for lease replacements delivered (remotely). 
Projects as defined in alignment with the IT strategy. 
Backup reporting for the UK offices (although tapes will be changed within the business unit itself). 
Implementation and improvements to policies and process in alignment with the IT department governance requirements. 
File restores where backup tapes are available within the library units. 

Business Unit Role: 

Carry out site specific duties that require a physical touch including but not limited to: 
Backup tape changes. 
Meeting room audits and remediation. 
Physical touch escalations for items that cannot be resolved remotely. 
Desk office moves on a scheduled basis. 

The post holder must at all times carry out his/ her duties with due regard to the Buro Happold Equality & Diversity Policy. 

Job Requirements::
Essential Experience: 

Excellent IT skills. 
A good working knowledge of all levels of support. 
Knowledge of Microsoft products including all office applications and operating systems. 
Experience of setting up and maintaining hardware and software systems.
Very good communication skills. 
The ability to listen, understand and defuse difficult situations. 
Confident, proactive character, with the ability to deal with challenging situations. 
Ability to problem solve and think on your feet. 
Able to forward think and effect continuous improvement. 
Prior IT experience essential. 

Qualifications: 

Good secondary and/or equivalent education: A levels, HND/C or degree. 
Industry related qualifications, for example Microsoft Certified (MCSE, MCSA or MCP), ITIL V3 Foundation or CCNA. 

Additional Attributes: 

The core business hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm however due to the nature of the role hours of work will need to be flexible and this role will be expected to work in a shift pattern to accommodate coverage within the team of expanded hours of 8am to 6pm.

Must be a qualified welder / fabricator with experience in steel or aluminium (NDT experience preferred but interest to train if not available) and ideally have a driving licence. Duties include MIG/TIG and MMA welding / fabricating. All welding / fabricating processes will be subject to high standard testing such as x ray, fault detection and pressure test in a non destructive testing environment. Each day will provide new challenges and a different aspect of work, this is not a production line role. This position also offers an immediate start. Overtime may be available at weekends and evenings. You may be required to travel off site at our customers’ depots (vehicle provided). This is not an agency position. Employer states successful applicants will need to be drugs and alcohol tested before employment commences.

Reporting to the Service Desk Team Leader, the IT Service Specialist will be the first point of contact for all IT issues. They will log and manage the lifecycle of Incidents and Service Requests whilst ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive updates and escalation where a first time fix is not possible. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Answer incoming calls from internal customers and external suppliers 
  • Record, update and proactively manage Incidents and Service Requests received via phone, voice mail, email and desk side visit
  • Provide initial assessment of Incidents and Service requests setting appropriate categorisation and prioritisation
  • Provide initial support of incidents, ensuring appropriate analysis takes place and all required information is captured and accurately recoded
  • Proactively monitor, progress and resolve incidents in line with departmental SLAs
  • Escalate in a timely manner incidents where a first time fix is not possible
  • Create, update and Manage Service Requests in line with internal SLAs
  • Update and manage IT Deployed Assets
  • Ensure internal policies are adhered to whilst dealing with incidents and SLAs
  • Work with external suppliers to organise hardware deployments and hardware replacements
  • Create and maintain user accounts
  • Install packaged software
  • Provide basic support for desktop/laptop computer systems, printers, phones, mobile devices, and other hardware
  • Issue informative communication messages to the business relating to RFCs and other planned and unplanned maintenance in line with the weekly scheduled CAB meetings

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical skills balanced with effective communication and excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent knowledge of IT Service Management processes and procedures, specifically Incident, Problem, Change and Service Level Management
  • ITIL Foundation Level certification
  • Educated to degree level (preferably IT-related) or equivalent experience


Work Requirements: 
Monday to Friday 40 Hours per week; A single member of the team will also provide cover on Saturdays from 8am to 4pm on a rotational basis.

Significant recent professional experience in hardware related projects.
Recent experience designing and debugging high speed digital circuit boards with current generation CPUs and FPGAs
Experience in board level design and developing significant hardware components. 
Experience of working with high speed serial signals (GHz ) (e.g. Serdes GIG-E)
Familiarity with software and hardware tools and off-the-shelf packages that can be utilized for system development.
Able to work with various kinds of hardware and to assist with software integration. 
The ability to quickly translate user requirements or technical propositions into practical designs.
Proven ability to deliver complex projects on time and on budget.

Desirable skills include experience with SHARC DSPs, experience of analogue audio design, experience of power supply design, familiarity with signal integrity issues and simulation, experience of design for EMC compliance and familiarity with Altera and/or Xilinx devices and tools.

The Senior Commissioning and Start-up Engineer will coordinate the pre-commissioning and operational testing activities for the Corrib Facilities, both onshore and offshore.

As a Senior Commissioning and Start-up Engineer you will be:
. Responsible for the incorporation of all subsea, pipelines and terminal activities into the integrated commissioning plan
. Manage Terminal commissioning team on daily deliverables
. Responsible for delivering commissioning objectives on time and within budget
. Responsible for pre-acceptance inspection of turnover systems from construction contractor
. Responsible for pre-commissioning and operational testing of all Terminal systems and offshore equipment
. Responsible for the mobilisation of specialist vendor personnel as required
. Responsible for implementation of flawless project delivery associated with Terminal commissioning
. Responsible for the preparation and approval of the initial start-up program, verification of readiness and statement of fitness

You will also:
. Liaise with Reservoir and Production Engineers, technical authorities and other relevant personnel from within the asset team
. Ensure personal safety and asset integrity standards are met at all times by the commissioning team and must set the right example for the contractors working on the sites.




Requirements:


Qualifications required: A degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred. A higher degree would be an advantage.

Experience required:
. Significant experience in the oil and gas industry
. An Engineering background with operational experience
. Previous project experience including subsea completions and control systems
. Detailed knowledge of a Completions Management System, preferably GoCCMS


In addition you will also have an in depth knowledge of:
. Safety and environmental leadership of contractors
. Hydrocarbon Gas Commissioning
. Completions management system
. Subsea systems operation and commissioning
. Planning

Role Summary/Purpose::



We are looking for a dynamic, experienced engineer to be responsible for developing and maintaining strong interpersonal relationships with customer representatives, ensuring Customer Satisfaction and maintaining all equipment models specific to the CT/PET modalities in the Central Scotland region.



Essential Responsibilities:


  • Technical: Maintains all models specific to CT/PET modalities in the Central Scotland region, with the opportunity to expand into other modalities as business needs demand it.
  • Electronic/Mechanical: Total system level trouble-shooting on complex multi-symptom problems. 
  • Customer satisfaction: Daily interface with doctors and technicians on equipment status issues. Acts to ensure satisfaction to primary customers. 
  • LCT: Assists in Account Sales visits; helps train others where necessary; identify Sales opportunities and communicate to account team. 
  • Business growth: Assists in the growth and direction of business in his/her geographic area. 
  • Productivity: Responsible for Warranty and PMS contract cost control. 
  • Administration: Responsibly completes all administration tasks on time. Ensures timely completion of FMIs and PMS inspections documentation for assigned accounts. 
  • Installation: Plays a leading role in complex and multifunctional rooms. Shares best practices.
  • Maintain effective quality systems and programs compliant with ISO 9001 standard, according to the GE Service Quality Policy Statement.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • Ideal geographic location is within the Central belt of Scotland (Edinburgh/Glasgow/Stirling area) with travel required throughout all of the Scotland area, and other areas as required by the business. 
  • Qualified to Degree level or equivalent certification and work experience. 
  • Proven experience demonstrating technical analytical skills. 
  • Demonstrable Field Services experience. 
  • Comprehensive knowledge of X Ray modalities, CT/PET experience preferable. 
  • Proven ability to train others or sought by others for guidance and advice. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction. 
  • High work standards and quality. 
  • Initiative and motivation. 
  • Self-starter – able to plan and organize work effectively. 
  • Excellent communications, listening and interpersonal skills.
