We’re currently recruiting for Senior Commissioning and Start-up Engineer to join our team within Upstream International Operated (UIO) at the Bellanaboy Bridge Gas Terminal, County Mayo, the Republic of Ireland.

Upstream International operates, maintains and modifies producing and processing facilities in the Central and Northern North Sea, onshore in Scotland and in the Republic of Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient start up of all subsea wells facilities, landfall valve installation, terminal process facilities and related safety systems and utilities to ensure production of hydrocarbons in accordance with production plans, targets and specifications.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Commissioning and Start-up Engineer will coordinate the pre-commissioning and operational testing activities for the Corrib Facilities, both onshore and offshore.

As a Senior Commissioning and Start-up Engineer you will be:
. Responsible for the incorporation of all subsea, pipelines and terminal activities into the integrated commissioning plan
. Manage Terminal commissioning team on daily deliverables
. Responsible for delivering commissioning objectives on time and within budget
. Responsible for pre-acceptance inspection of turnover systems from construction contractor
. Responsible for pre-commissioning and operational testing of all Terminal systems and offshore equipment
. Responsible for the mobilisation of specialist vendor personnel as required
. Responsible for implementation of flawless project delivery associated with Terminal commissioning
. Responsible for the preparation and approval of the initial start-up program, verification of readiness and statement of fitness

You will also:
. Liaise with Reservoir and Production Engineers, technical authorities and other relevant personnel from within the asset team
. Ensure personal safety and asset integrity standards are met at all times by the commissioning team and must set the right example for the contractors working on the sites.




Requirements:


Qualifications required: A degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred. A higher degree would be an advantage.

Experience required:
. Significant experience in the oil and gas industry
. An Engineering background with operational experience
. Previous project experience including subsea completions and control systems
. Detailed knowledge of a Completions Management System, preferably GoCCMS


In addition you will also have an in depth knowledge of:
. Safety and environmental leadership of contractors
. Hydrocarbon Gas Commissioning
. Completions management system
. Subsea systems operation and commissioning
. Planning
