GP's Alternative Fuels Group designs and constructs alternative fuel stations for fuels such as liquefied natural gas (LNG), compressed natural gas (CNG) and hydrogen (H2). Typical projects involve reinforced concrete mat foundations, installation of 45 ft vertical or horizontal storage vessels, cryogenic and high pressure systems, ASME B31.3 pipe welding, process system installation, and hazardous area (CL 1 Div 1 & 2 Group B or D) electrical work. Historically, the majority of our work has been in California and Arizona and will continue to be our base load work. We have outgrown of current resources and have an immediate need for a experienced Welder/Pipe Fitter to meet our current contract requirements in the rapidly growing alternative fuel market. Our projects are typically design/build projects. We self perform all engineering and specialty construction. Because we have a reputation of getting the job done, we are requested to do unique, one of a kind projects.

Due to our recent success in this industry and a growing workload, we have an immediate people with can-do attitudes that want to work on trailblazing projects.



WELDER

Required Skills:

Candidates will posses 3-10 years of welding experience in the following

Stainless tube (1/4" - 2") installation.
Stainless and carbon steel threaded pipe (1/2" - 6").
Stainless and carbon steel welded pipe per ASME B31.3.
Pipe support and process skid installation.
GTAW Certified preferred
We require construction trades to be willing and able to support multiple construction trade activities due to the relatively small size of our construction projects (< $15 million). You must be willing to travel to job sites in California and outside state during construction phases. This will include overnight travel. Also must be willing to support shop fabrication activities in the Escondido shop as needed. These are temp to hire  positions!



You must be able to satisfy pre-employment and random drug screening tests.

Responsible for the welding of metal fabricated parts by utilizing various welding processes and positions within a shipbuilding environment. Welding assignments will consist of both fillet and butt welding.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be able to pass one structural butt welding assessment utilizing a SMAW welding process in one of the following welding positions - Vertical (3G), Horizontal (2G) and Overhead (4G). - Must have training with Flux Core or 1 year work experience as a welder using the Flux core process.

Preferred Qualifications:
Able to pass a structural butt welding assessment utilizing a Flux Core welding process in the three positions of Vertical (3G), Horizontal (2G) and Overhead (4G). - Training with Flux Core and minimum of 3 years work experience as a welder using the Flux Core Process. - Ability to arc gouge.
