Job description

The Data Center Manager will oversee the system, security operations, and security deployment in the Data Center facility. This individual will provide leadership and management for the planning, provisioning, implementation, and support of these areas and services critical to provide smooth and efficient operations and achieve uptime SLA's. The Data Center manager is also responsible for the planning and coordination of the Data Center operation. The Data Center Manager will oversee preventative and operational maintenance, maintain a secure environment and processes, the running of networking and power cables, create and maintain documentation for policy and procedure. Provide overall management of the data center environment to include but not limited to backup generators. Provide overall personnel and staffing management and tasking for help desk, property management, system administrator, network administrator, backup administrator, network operations, information assurance and database administrator staff. The actual work location for this position is Rocket Center, WV. (2252) R2CJ

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• At least 5 years experience in Data Center management with implementation experience in large scale, hosted systems.
• At least 5 years experience in managing a team of systems engineers, network engineers, technicians and administrators.
• At least 3 years experience in the specification, design and implementation of Windows Server, Linux and SAN systems.
• At least 3 years experience in VMWare or Cloud Computing environments.
• At least 3 years experience in the design and implementation of High Availability systems.
• At least 3 years experience in mentoring and guiding IT staff.
• Basic knowledge in IT Service Delivery processes such as ITIL.
• Security clearance of Top Secret (TS/SSBI) - Active
• U.S. citizenship required
• English: Basic knowledge

Preferred

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2 years experience in implementing systems in adherence with standards such as DIACAP, NIST or NISPOM.
• At least 3 years experience in identifying high level functional and technical requirements based on interaction with the user community and knowledge of the enterprise architecture.
• At least 3 years experience in evaluating problems of work flows, organization, and planning and to develop appropriate corrective action.
• English : Intermediate

Monitise are looking to recruit a Data Scientist for our London Office.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

• Responsible for the constant testing, measurement, optimization and refining of propositions through the building and training of analytically models
• Deployment of data mining techniques to discover and identify actionable patterns in data and develop hypotheses and models.
• Design hypothesis tests, oversee execution, and perform rigorous statistical evaluation of the results to produce actionable insights.
• Support the key relationships with 3rd party data and analytics software partners, in concert with aligned partner functions.
• Specification of data/analysis requirements to the product team, including translation of business needs to technical requirements and implementation
• The successful candidate will be expected to be an active influencer within the wider Monitise community.
• The successful candidate will have the following experience:
• A minimum of 3-4 years in a data mining/analysis role in a consumer facing business
• University degree (or equivalent) required. Maths, Statistics or Computer Science degree a major plus
• Knowledge of Business Analytics
• Mobile commerce (Finance/Retail) industry experience a major plus
