Job Description

Provide support to production, production equipment, procedures, process instructions, and facilities of Covrad GT.  Audit all quality system requirements per check sheet, investigate all non-conformances and define root cause and drive corrective actions back to the source. Support all Kaizen activities and audit sustainability. Assist in training new employees, drive safety improvements, inspect all supplier products and assist Coordinators in product flow. Assist production as required where other expertise cannot.  Act as consultant to production, maintenance, and engineering. This position requires experience in auditing quality systems and driving continuous improvement.

Responsible for auditing facility conformance to all Safety rules, Standard Work, Quality procedures, and shop floor production documentation.
Assist production as required. Repair, rework or modify product material and resolve process problems.
Inspection and testing of product, investigate root cause of defect, and initiate corrective action.
Trend analysis of defective material for implementing corrective action.
Participate and lead the quality effort in development of new products and processes.
Performing Receiving inspection as required.
Conduct and participate in PFMEA’s and set up controls on new processes as required.


Skills/Requirements

2 or more years of hands-on QA Technician experience.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Fabrication process knowledge.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, good mechanical skills, excellent written and verbal skills and MS Windows knowledge.

Job Description

Grow standard product sales and brand recognition as defined by Covrad GT’s strategic initiatives.   Primary responsibility and focus will be Covrad GT’s standard product portfolio sales and promotion to established distribution network.

Domestic and international exposure to sales and marketing processes with the ability to manage a range of customer accounts and develop new business opportunities.
Improve sales and margin performance of existing partners through sales support, product training and promotion of the expanded product offering within the Covrad GT portfolio.

Job Description



Position Purpose:

Support the API HT customer base with a physical presence in the field to assist with issues relating to our plate heat exchangers (PHE) and shell and tube (S & T) heat exchangers. 



Responsibilities:

Participates in assisting customer by direct contact with API HT equipment in the field. 
Makes recommendations regarding remedies for optimized performance (new parts, full repair, or purchase of new equipment).  Supervises tear down and repair of equipment as needed. 
When not in fieldassist with service, parts and duplicate equipment quotations, handle all mechnical PHE warranty claims, with an emphasis on timely responses and error-free execution that reflect current pricing strategies.
Follow up on customer parts quotations and initiate required action item to close the order.
Make recommendations to Engineering for product features and design changes necessary to increase overall competitiveness of the PHE and S & T product lines.
Additional responsibilities
Visit customers and Sales Representatives on site, as required, to enhance business opportunities and/or resolve outstanding warranty or performance issues.
Identify new, profitable opportunities to expand our current sales base.
Keep management aware of potential threats to the business, including those related to customer satisfaction, competitors’ activities, and general market changes.
Serve as an advocate for the customer within API HT.


Skills/Requirements

Education and Experience:

Technical degree or at least 2 years of relevant experience with Shell and Tube and/or Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger required
Technical sales background highly desirable.
A strong understanding, or the ability to quickly gain a strong understanding, of current products and procedures currently in effect.

Record and report product verification/validation as required for new product and product revisions.

Education and Experience:

Minimum of an AS degree in a technical discipline.   BS degree in Engineering desired, ASQ CQT or CQE preferred.
Minimum of 3 years quality experience in an industrial environment with experience in APQP, including FMEA and PPAP.
Ability to read Blue Prints and perform Quality Inspection with mechanical/functional gauging and leak test equipment required.
Demonstrated use and understanding of analytical problem solving tools (examples: cause and effect diagrams, brainstorming, process mapping, Design of Experiments, etc.) preferred.
Demonstrated use and understanding of statistical tools (Pareto, Histogram, Cause and Effect Diagram), Statistical Process Control and Process Capability preferred.
Knowledgeable of Six Sigma tools and / or other continuous improvement methodologies desired.
Knowledge of Welding techniques and standards such as ASME Section VIII, AWS D1.1, EN15614 and ISO9606 desired.

These openings are on our 2nd shift.  The working hours are 3:00 pm-11:30 pm. This is a temporary to hire opening.  Qualified candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Sets up and positions, to best advantage, his welding assignment on positioner, welding rolls or elsewhere, as necessary.

Determines from print, the proper welding wire to be used for the welding assignment, the proper welding method to be used, and required specifications for weld depaosits, if any.

Must be qualified on shop welding procedures for aluminum welding or other mandated customer welder qualification requirements for the listed metals.
