Job Description



Position Purpose:

Support the API HT customer base with a physical presence in the field to assist with issues relating to our plate heat exchangers (PHE) and shell and tube (S & T) heat exchangers. 



Responsibilities:

Participates in assisting customer by direct contact with API HT equipment in the field. 
Makes recommendations regarding remedies for optimized performance (new parts, full repair, or purchase of new equipment).  Supervises tear down and repair of equipment as needed. 
When not in fieldassist with service, parts and duplicate equipment quotations, handle all mechnical PHE warranty claims, with an emphasis on timely responses and error-free execution that reflect current pricing strategies.
Follow up on customer parts quotations and initiate required action item to close the order.
Make recommendations to Engineering for product features and design changes necessary to increase overall competitiveness of the PHE and S & T product lines.
Additional responsibilities
Visit customers and Sales Representatives on site, as required, to enhance business opportunities and/or resolve outstanding warranty or performance issues.
Identify new, profitable opportunities to expand our current sales base.
Keep management aware of potential threats to the business, including those related to customer satisfaction, competitors’ activities, and general market changes.
Serve as an advocate for the customer within API HT.


Skills/Requirements

Education and Experience:

Technical degree or at least 2 years of relevant experience with Shell and Tube and/or Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger required
Technical sales background highly desirable.
A strong understanding, or the ability to quickly gain a strong understanding, of current products and procedures currently in effect.

Job Description
This position is responsible for ensuring the purity of the water processed for MPW Industrial Water customers at various project sites.

Required Skills

  1. Travels to various project sites and maintains MPW Water Purification Equipment.
  2. Tracks the performance of the equipment at the various project sites.
  3. Performs the required labor at the various project sites, including hose and pipe assembly, chemical drum handling, chemical transfer, filter backwashes, filter media replacement, pump maintenance, membrane cleaning and replacement, etc.
  4. Uses and calibrates monitoring equipment to test water quality to assure established standards are being met.
  5. Completes PC-based reports on site conditions, test results, site corrections, site deficiencies, etc.  
  6. Trouble shoots system operational problems and makes corrections when appropriate.
  7. Provides ongoing interface with customers to assure they are satisfied with job.
  8. Follows all Safety rules and regulations.
  9. Maintains proper house keeping.



Required Experience


  • Ability to carry/lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves heavy manual labor.
  • Ability to maintain alertness and acuity that is not typically impaired by any medication, diet, or physical condition.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, sit and maneuver in confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
  • Ability to maintain workloads that may include travel to a variety of states for days or weeks, and daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8-hour shift.



QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED.
Valid Driver’s license.

College Degree preferred
2 years of mechanical experience preferred.
PLC experience preferred
