Trainee Computer Operator required for prestigious financial organisation in Harrogate/North Yorkshire. 

The main purpose of the role is to carry out the day-to-day operation of the companys Electronic Switching, Gateway and Transaction Service ensuring the highest levels of service availability and integrity.You will be operating the Company's mainframe computer hardware, application software, system software and associated peripherals, ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with company agreed standards. 

Duties:

•Provide first line problem solving for issues associated with a wide range of mainframe computer facilities, communications network equipment and management diagnostic tools.
•Maintaining full knowledge of, and working within, Company processing schedules, quality standards and service level agreements.
•Ensuring all service interruptions are recorded in accordance with defined procedures and progressed to the point of service restoration as speedily as possible. 



This is a trainee role so experience isnt necessary but experience in a helpdesk/service/customer service role would be advantageous. You will a proven team player, able to work effectively and closely with others. Also be able to work weekends and nights on a shift rota that covers a 24x7x365 operation. With a proven ability to learn and follow processes but also able to identify and suggest improvements to work processes. You will have good problem solving skills and be able to deal with urgent issues in a calm but timely manner.

The Center on Aging has an opportunity available for a Computer Operator. The individual will provide programming assistance in the development of applications for laboratory and field studies. Involve in different aspects of the development and implementation of web-based and mobile technologies related to Center projects. Assist in development and implementation of data collection and management applications, providing critical assistance to the data management infrastructure for Center projects.

Assist in programming tasks for Center on Aging studies. Assist with data acquisition and control activities, including the development of electronic forms, data management applications, and data reporting applications. Configure desktop and server software and applications as required.


High School Diploma or equivalent with one year experience in programming and application development is required. Some college in computer science or a related discipline is preferred. Experience with web programming (html, php, SQL, javascript etc.) is required. Experience with configuring and maintaining IIS is also required.

Applicant must also have experience programming in java and Microsoft Visual Studio. Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access etc.) is required. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant experience will be considered.

We are seeking a senior accountant with excellent knowledge and experience of Service Line Reporting. You will also lead the production and submission of Trust reference costs and be the lead business partner for corporate budgets. You will coordinate the management of the central finance reporting team and deputise for the Head of Business Support as required.
You will have a minimum of 2 years experience of working at a senior level within a finance department and have highly developed specialist/expert knowledge of financial and accounting procedures and NHS finance policies.

Description
The Senior Accountant will prepare and post journal entries, assist in the monthly close process for all international subsidiaries, including consolidations, analyzing and reviewing their financial information and reconciling intercompany activity. This position will also assist in the preparation of reconciliations and of the PBCs for our external accounting firm on a quarterly and annual basis. The Senior Accountant should have a strong technical background to assist with identification, research and implementation of significant accounting and reporting issues.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations.

To work within a secure Data Centre providing services to clients utilising a variety of technologies including MVS, Fujitsu, HP, Tandem and other environments.
SC security clearance will be obtained if not already cleared.

Working Pattern:
Full time / permanent / 12 hour shifts / 24x7x365

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitoring Tandem, Fujitsu, IBM Mainframe, UNIX, Wintel systems as per schedules and task lists
• Addressing job failures using recovery documentation and by invoking callout to both internal and client support teams in consultation with the Shift Leader
• Run client workloads to schedule, completing checklists to confirm progress
• Incident management of high priority calls
• Reacting to alerts raised by Unicenter
• Ensuring deadlines for SLAs are met
• Utilisation of the internal change and problem management systems
• Fully understand all Operational documentation
• Act as liaison point for all clients Out of Hours
• Complete and distribute status reports for workloads assigned
• Input and monitor client batch schedules including on-line processes and/or automation tools
• Under guidance Load or IPL on-line services as requested by schedules or support teams

• Suggest improvements to systems, procedures and processes: in the first instance this should be to the Shift Leader, it should then be followed up by means of Procedure amendment forms.
