Job Title: Service Desk Salary: upto £19,500 plus Excellent Benefits Location: Cardiff

We are seeking an experienced Service Desk Analyst / Desktop Services Technician to work within one of Wales' leading organisations. We're really looking for someone who has good 1st line and 2nd line troubleshooting skills of the Microsoft desktop suite (ideally in a Citrix thin client environment).

This role will involve working on a busy service desk providing IT support to those within the business, responsibilities will include providing 1st and 2nd line support, logging calls, monitoring the central fax server, mobile and web IDs for client access and setting up and maintaining SLAs and producing weekly internal and external reports for clients.

You will need a strong emphasis on delivery with the ability to ensure that Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements are adhered to and delivered on time. Previous experience of working in this type of environment will be pretty much essential for this one so please make sure it's documented on your CV or covering email. Job Responsibilities:
•   Assist with product validation activities, inspections and tests to evaluate the precision and accuracy of products.
•   Program and oversee CMM to develop part programs, fixtures and inspection programs working with Brown & Sharp / Mitotoyo CMMs.
•   Develop CMM programs to inspect parts in accordance with blueprints and CAD data.
•   Applies advanced knowledge of inspection and test methods to produce accurate results in the execution of qualification activities for new or existing products and processes, engineering evaluations, investigation of product complaints and support of process improvement activities.
•   Assists Quality and/or Manufacturing Engineering in applying basic quality tools and analytical methods in performing root cause analysis for product or process deviations identified through customer complaint, QIS or CAPA systems.
•   Develops and applies inspection and test procedures and methods, based on detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical requirements to assess the dimensional, functional or visual characteristics of materials, components and finished product.
•   Provides technical training to Quality Inspection personnel on measurement systems, inspection and test procedures, and product functional concepts.
•   Assists Supplier Quality Engineering to interface with external component/material suppliers as necessary in developing consistent inspection and test methods, training on acceptable quality criteria and resolving product inspection discrepancies.
•   Insure part-inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level.
•   Participate in quality investigations and/or internal audits to assess conformance to specifications, company procedures and overall compliance to regulations.
•   Demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently and with flexibility in order to meet changing business needs in a fast-paced team environment.
•   Develop and maintain training plans, lesson plans and supporting training materials.
•   Responsible for technical problem definition and solution in logistics/quality environment.

Required skills and attributes:
•   Experience reading blueprints required.
•   Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) is required.
•   Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required
•   Must have good communication and organizational skills.
•   The ability to work independently to develop solutions to complex quality scenarios is required.
•   The ability to interact and communicate effectively with other functional professionals (i.e. Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering) at all levels is required.

Preferred skills and attributes:
•   CMM programming experience on Brown & Sharpe and/or Mitotoyo equipment is preferred.
•   Geometric programming experience preferred.
•   Knowledge of Quality Systems Regulations (QSRs) and ISO quality requirements preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering or science field, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, six years of related engineering experience.

Our Emissions Control Technologies Europe Division is looking for a Supply Chain Engineer (m/f) to be based at its European headquarter in Augsburg.
 
The purpose of a supply chain engineer (m/f) is to take into account the PC&L opportunities and standards within the different departments to define the best industrial performance.
 
The main responsibilites of the position are:
  • to support and coach the customer business unit to develop and integrate PC&L standards to define the best customer strategy
  • to support and coach the purchasing department to develop and integrate PC&L standards to define the best commodity and transportation strategy
  • to support & coach industrial strategy to integrate the PC&L standards and costs to define the best industrial strategy, e.g. consolidate next years customer volumes, trends, awarded programs and/or specific projects
  • to coordinate between those departments, the various PC&L coordinators and the impacted plant PC&L, the implementation of new customer or supplier supply chain policy
  • to organize workshops to define and propose solutions for existing problems within the supply chain

Qualifications

 
The ideal candidate will have/be:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, ideally with focus on logistics
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Logistic in Automotive industry, ideally at plant and division level - experience in Faurecia preferably
  • Approx. 3 years experience in a program position- experience in Faurecia preferably
  • Knowledge of global supply chain management
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Fluent in English plus fluent either in German, Czech, French or Spanish
  • MS Office (strenght in Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
  • Autonomous with strong drive, who works with data, priorites and deadlines
  • Able to communicate, coordinate and motivate
