Desktop Services Technician
Job Title: Service Desk Salary: upto £19,500 plus Excellent Benefits Location: Cardiff
We are seeking an experienced Service Desk Analyst / Desktop Services Technician to work within one of Wales' leading organisations. We're really looking for someone who has good 1st line and 2nd line troubleshooting skills of the Microsoft desktop suite (ideally in a Citrix thin client environment).
This role will involve working on a busy service desk providing IT support to those within the business, responsibilities will include providing 1st and 2nd line support, logging calls, monitoring the central fax server, mobile and web IDs for client access and setting up and maintaining SLAs and producing weekly internal and external reports for clients.
You will need a strong emphasis on delivery with the ability to ensure that Service Level Agreements and Operational Level Agreements are adhered to and delivered on time. Previous experience of working in this type of environment will be pretty much essential for this one so please make sure it's documented on your CV or covering email. Skills & Experience • Desktop PC Systems - Group policy, OS build and deployment • Active directory, • Exchange, • VMware, storage (and TSM) • Managing & Support of Citrix Environments • Application packaging, deployment and patching • Windows technologies (Windows Client software and applications) • Nortel IP Telephony (CS1000) • Asset management • Stock Control • Stack patching and configuration • VOIP technologies • Blackberry Handheld solution (BES)
