Summary:


EnergeX, a division of JMC Steel Group is currently seeking a Sales Coordinator for our location in Houston, TX.  This role, reporting to the Customer Service Manager, will assist in ensuring EnergeX shipments are released in a timely manner.



Responsibilities:


  • Actively search for ready to ship tons and create a Bill of Lading utilizing SAP
  • Liaise with the sales and logistics department to coordinate ready to ship loads
  • Notify sales and planning departments when more tons are needed to fill out orders
  • Attend daily or weekly calls that will involve shipping targets etc.
  • Communicate with customers to ensure proper delivery scheduled are met.
  • Create and develop rail reporting
  • Trace outbound and inbound rail cars using software package
  • Occasionally look up and distribute rail/ trucks rates
  • Other duties as assigned by manager



Education/Experience

The ideal candidate for this role will possess an Associate’s Degree and at least two years of similar experience.



Skill/Abilities:


  • Experience  in Microsoft office suite
  • Knowledge of SAP or a similar ERP is a must
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional customer service skills

Job Description

JOB FUNCTION:
To complete repairs related to the maintenance of equipment.
Capable of learning and developing the necessary skills to perform the job adequately.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to read blue prints and fabricate according to those prints.
Ability to operate or learn welding, operate press brake, plate rolls, angle and channel rolls, and shear.

Fabricate and operate all equipment in a safe manner using all required safety equipment to comply OSHA and company policies.
Ability to run stainless, aluminum, steel and pvc piping.
The position is responsible for the quality of the fabrication product.
Ability to wire or learn 120, 240 and PLC wiring.

Required Skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to carry/lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves heavy manual labor.
  • Ability to maintain alertness and acuity that is not typically impaired by any medication, diet, or physical condition.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, sit and maneuver in confined spaces.
  • Ability to wear respirators in environments that may expose you to chemicals, fumes, etc.
  • Ability to maintain workloads that may include travel to a variety of states for days or weeks, and daily timeframes that could exceed the typical 8-hour shift.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Must be able to determine how to weld/repair equipment in the most effective manner. 
  • Must determine safest method of performing job. Must be able to work in reflected heat of welding equipment
  • Required Experience


QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED
1-3 years of technical school or trade school preferred
1-3 years on the job fabrication experience preferred

Workstream’s client is looking for two experienced Coded Welders to work on a site in Oxford. It is essential that applicants are qualified to 6G and have BSEN 287 coding. The successful applicants will need to do core 10 material, 10-15mm welds. Additionally, candidates must have valid CSCS and IPAF tickets.

The duration of these contracts is ongoing, with immediate starts. The pay rate for Monday-Friday is £15.00 per hour, Saturday is £19.00 per hour for first six hours and then £22.50 for over six hours on a Saturday and all hours worked on a Sunday.

Packer Crane Driver and Line Operator for Cold Steel Mill


Applications are sought for fixed term positions of Packer Crane Driver / Line Operator in the Cold Strip Mill. 

The primary function of this position is crane driving and packing/distribution of prime products. 

The ideal candidate will have:

  •       An uncompromising attitude to health and safety.
  •       Fit and capable of lifting moderate weight to 20kg.
  •       Forklift and/or crane driving experience, especially within NZ Steel.
  •       Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  •       Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  •       The ability to work effectively as an individual as well as part of a team.
  •       A willingness to learn new skills.
  •       NCEA Level 2 excellence or equivalent.
  •       Trade Certificate.

Shift pattern to be discussed at interview.  Certain levels of overtime will be expected to help maintain production flows through this plant.
