Job Description

The Program for Adult College Education (PACE) and the College of Arts and Sciences Continuing Education (CE) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City is continuously seeking qualified candidates for part-time Grader positions.  This position will be responsible for assisting with undergraduate grading and teaching, under the guidance of a College of Arts and Science faculty member.  THE INTENT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS TO IDENTIFY A POOL OF GRADERS WHO ARE QUALIFIED TO ASSIST IN THE DELIVERY OF UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE LEVEL COURSES IN THE ACADEMIC DISCIPLINES ASSOCIATED WITH THE COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES.  UMKC is an equal access, equal opportunity, affirmative action employer that is fully committed to achieving a diverse faculty and staff.  All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a Criminal Background Check prior to beginning employment.


Minimum Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of coursework associated with specifically identified PACE or CE class; as demonstrated by successful completion of similar courses and recommendation by an associated faculty member.


Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with electronic communications and various on-line delivery platforms such as "Blackboard".  Also, an understanding of and commitment to working with adult/non-traditional students from diverse backgrounds.
