Quality Assurance Technician
Provide support to production, production equipment, procedures, process instructions, and facilities of Covrad GT. Audit all quality system requirements per check sheet, investigate all non-conformances and define root cause and drive corrective actions back to the source. Support all Kaizen activities and audit sustainability. Assist in training new employees, drive safety improvements, inspect all supplier products and assist Coordinators in product flow. Assist production as required where other expertise cannot. Act as consultant to production, maintenance, and engineering. This position requires experience in auditing quality systems and driving continuous improvement.
Responsible for auditing facility conformance to all Safety rules, Standard Work, Quality procedures, and shop floor production documentation.
Assist production as required. Repair, rework or modify product material and resolve process problems.
Inspection and testing of product, investigate root cause of defect, and initiate corrective action.
Trend analysis of defective material for implementing corrective action.
Participate and lead the quality effort in development of new products and processes.
Performing Receiving inspection as required.
Conduct and participate in PFMEA’s and set up controls on new processes as required.
2 or more years of hands-on QA Technician experience.
Lean Manufacturing experience.
Fabrication process knowledge.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, good mechanical skills, excellent written and verbal skills and MS Windows knowledge.
